How Do You Decide on an Asking Price?
You probably have a number in mind. The question is whether the market will agree with it.
Price matters from day one. If it’s too high, buyers may skip your home. If it’s too low, you could leave money on the table. My job is to help you find the price that fits your home and your goals.
Here’s how I approach it:
- Recent sales nearby: I look at what similar homes in your area have actually sold for, not just what they were listed for.
- Homes for sale now: These are the homes your buyers are comparing yours to.
- What sets your home apart: Updates, condition, lot size, outdoor space, a pool, or acreage can all matter. If you’re on a well or septic system, or in a neighborhood with an HOA, we’ll talk about how buyers weigh that.
I’ll explain the numbers in plain language so you can decide with confidence. The price is always your decision, and I’ll explain what I’m seeing.
